Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy
Currently accreditation criteria for Psychotherapy training programmes are under review in Aotearoa/New Zealand. New guidelines for membership and course accreditation are being discussed within the sector.
The current thinking emphasises personal development and experiential learning as foundational for safe, professional, clinical practice. The PSP Trust is delighted that these values – which are already key in our training – are so clearly recognised, and we see many opportunities for aligning with the Psychotherapy Board Aotearoa New Zealand (PBANZ) framework, alongside opportunities to make locally informed Psychosynthesis theory more accessible within an academic tradition. As of November 2018 PBANZ has accepted the Psychosynthesis South Pacific Trust’s (PSPT) proposal for a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy under their grand-parenting arrangement.
The PSP Trust is looking forward to being able to develop and promote this training programme so that Psychosynthesis can continue to be taught within the South Pacific region.
The Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy will be taught over a two year period involving 14 teaching weekends.
The Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Psychosynthesis) is a pre-requisite to the Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy.
The Diploma in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy is currently under development. For more information please contact the PSP administrator.
